TheBestAirRifle.com (“TBAR”) was created by me after I recently rekindled a childhood love for air rifles that started nearly 30 years ago. Although I am passionate about air rifles for similar reasons as I was back then, I realized that there are many more models to choose from today, and the technology has advanced considerably since I first became an avid air rifle plinker. The result is that I found it hard to sort through the various bits of information around the web to find the rifle that best suited my needs – and didn’t break my budget. In particular, it was very tedious and confusing wading through the numerous air rifle power plants, calibers, and the significant hype and often misinformation surrounding reported muzzle velocities.
Consequently, I started TBAR as a single source of basic information and comparison tools so that any new or experienced air rifle enthusiast can quickly and efficiently identify the best air rifle for their particular needs and within their budget. Today more than ever, I truly believe that outstanding air rifles can be had for a relative bargain, if you know what you’re looking for!
